Hal Elrod the author of The Miracle Morning said “To win your days, you must master your mornings.”
It has become a cliché at this point that you need to have a great morning routine for your day to be great, blah, blah, blah - but the reason it gets talked about so much is because it works.
Our accountability sessions are 30-minutes each weekday morning where a group of up to 12 freelancers set their intention for the day, share their wins and (sometimes) struggles all over a nice cup of tea (or coffee).
All you need to do is bring yourself, your beverage of choice, and be ready to contribute to the conversation.
This means keeping your camera and mic on. If you feel tired and grumpy at the start of the call, we promise you’ll feel much better by the end.
Working from home can become isolating so our sessions help bring back that human-connection.
Each day we have a new prompt to encourage conversation. This morning we asked ‘How do you plan to grow in 2025’. The question is often left deliberately vague to allow for different interpretations.
We run two daily groups - at 8:00am and 9:00am., and we encourage members to show up as often as they can.
We started these sessions in February 2024 out of our own need to maintain consistency with showing up for work.
Most Freelancers have come from some sort of office-based job where connections with colleagues are an important part of their day. Working from home can become isolating so our sessions help bring back that human-connection.
It’s different than having a client meeting too as we are all (now) friends on the call so everyone feels relaxed as we don’t have to be our professional-selves. The fact that we have so many people still showing up each morning is testament to how important these groups have become. Our members have made geniune friendships with one another.
For anyone that struggles interacting in a group setting - this is the perfect place to practice overcoming that fear.
Part of the reason I started these sessions was to overcome my own fear of talking in big groups.
Facilitating hundreds of Zoom calls a year was certainly not something I thought I’d ever be doing - It’s been a game-changer for me.
